Specific Instructions on the Nursery Hospital / Brooder
with the Solid State Temperature Controller

 


After you have unpacked, and studied the basic instructions and you still have questions please
do not hesitate to call, one of our staff will be glad to walk you through the set up procedures, to help familiarize you.  It is advised to run a new nursery hospital unit for at least 6 hours empty, to dissipate any new smell before placing animals inside. 

Due to the danger and severity of animal diseases, it is impossible for us to accept for a refund or exchange any Nursery Hospital intensive care unit, incubator or related merchandise once it has been exposed to eggs or babies. Please make sure that this unit will suit your needs before placing anything inside.

 

Our new solid state controller offers sophisticated temperature control with a large easy to read dial, custom set to meet your temperature range requirements in 1-degree increments from 70 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit. This controller offers user friendly, reliable, and accurate heating. By adding the solid state controller your combining the best of construction with a higher tech temperature control. If you want totally accurate and dependable temperature control, the solid state is a perfect choice.

Recalibrating the solid-state controller

You may have to recalibrate your Nursery / Brooder solid-state controller after you receive it.
If the temperature on the dial is not consistent with the actual temperature inside the unit, use the 1/16” Allen wrench (included) to loosen the Allen head screw on the opposite side of the arrow. Carefully pulling the knob straight off, replacing it at the correct temperature indicated on the dial, and tighten.
We highly recommend using several good thermometers at floor level to be sure of a accurate temperature before changing any settings.

Our extended warranty covers all parts and all labor with the exception of the door (Because of the inherit nature of Plexiglas and its tendency to scratch, or warp. doors are not covered under any warranty) for the life of the nursery unit. The only cost you would incur is shipping both ways. This is the most value you can add to your nursery hospital because this extended warranty is transferable to the next owner.
