These are the most commonly ask questions,
If you don't see what you're looking for, our staff will be glad to answer any question you may have.

I can't decide which intensive care model is right for me.
As you research keep one thing in mind, all Nursery Hospital intensive care units are basically alike. They all do the same job, with the same accuracy. No matter which model you're looking at, from the least expensive to the most, they all use the same high quality components, and precision construction Petiatric equipment is famous for.
The only difference is each model up-grade incorporates more accessories.
  • First you need to decide which size will suit your needs best,
    the A model (17"x17"x17")
    the B model (17"x17"x24")
    or the Mini   (12"x12"x12").
  • Next, what type of accessories do you want on it ? A Basic unit, or with the On-Off Switch, humidity tray, ect.
  • Lastly, which temperature controller would you feel the most comfortable using, Digital, Solid State or Mechanical ? (It's that simple).
Which is the most popular model ?
For the longest time the Nursery Hospital IIA was our biggest seller, it had all the accessories everyone wanted. However, for the last two years our Nursery Hospital IIIA has become the most popular model with breeders, our larger Nursery Hospital IIIB has become the most popular model with Veterinarians, and zoos.

Which model do you recommend ?
In my opinion, our Nursery Hospital IA mechanical is the best buy, you get the most brooder for the least amount of money. Check out this link index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=13

Do I need a Nebulizer, or a Humidifier ?
For only a $39.95 investment, our nebulizer is one of the smartest accessories you can have in your first aid kit. (If you ever need one, it's sure to be 2:00 AM on Mothers day). If your veterinarian houses and nebulize for the 5-7 days, it will take with some repository infections, it could cost as much as $100.00 a day. On the other hand, your veterinarian is sure to appreciate you having your own nebulizing chamber, and be willing to supply you with the correct medication. Which in turn, frees up they're staff for other emergencies.

How many intensive care units are practical ?
The optimal number of Nursery Hospital's is 3, setting each one about 5-6 degrees apart. (Example: 95 / 90 / 85) The chances of having three or four neonates the same age, requiring the same heat requirements is very unlikely. If they’re all placed in the same Nursery unit, at the same temperature, someone will pay the price.

What else will I need ?
No matter which Nursery Hospital model you choose, a good quality thermometer, is always a good idea as a back up, to show the exact temperature at floor level. Some Nursery Hospital models require a thermometer to set the proper temperature. Check out this link
